Consolidated PBY Catalina
The Consolidated PBY Catalina, commonly referred to simply as Catalinas, are an amphibious aircraft developed in the United States in the 1930s and 1940s. This was one of the most widely used seaplanes in the Second World War, serving with every branch of the United States Armed Forces and also serving in the air forces and navies of many allied nations throughout the war. These planes were used in anti-submarine warfare, patrol bombing, convoy escorts, search and rescue missions, and cargo transport.
