Credits and Thanks

This virtual exhibit would not be possible without the efforts of many participants.  It is impossible to thank all those involved in the recording of the original interviews, but our gratitude extends to the interviewees and their families, as well as the interviewers, whose work is sometimes uncredited.

The project was conceived and directed by Secrets of Radar Museum Curator, Maya Hirschman.  It was written, researched, and edited over the course of 18 months by Western University visual arts interns, Isabelle Arthur and Michelle Rosenblat.  Madison Stirling, Summer Museum Assistant, carried out additional research, editing and transcription of the oral histories, site design and production.

Funding for this project was derived, in part, from these grants and funders: EMC Corp Heritage Trust Project; Young Canada Works in Heritage; The Good Foundation.

Many of the interviews were recorded and compiled through the Museum's 2006 "Lost Voices Project" which was funded in part by Landmarks London (now London Heritage Council).

Disclaimer: The audio files available on this virtual exhibit are the result of a long term oral history interview project conducted by the Secrets of Radar Museum. Sections of these interviews have been compiled here to make them accessible to the general public. Interviews were conducted by different museum staff at different times using different recording devices. As a result, some of the audio clips have background noise or other imperfections. The Secrets of Radar Museum has worked to ensure that the recordings shared here have been refined to increase sound quality and reduce these imperfections, but some recordings will still have flaws due to the limitations of the original audio file. The Secrets of Radar Museum appreciates your understanding in this matter. Please contact us for more information.
