Repair Depot
Personnel serving at a RCAF Repair Depot during the Second World War were involved in maintaining, repairing, testing, recovering, re-furbishing, salvaging, and transporting RCAF aircraft and airborne equipment. Their responsibilities included recovering aircraft damaged in training accidents and repairing them for future service or salvaging parts for the repair of other aircraft. Repair Depots often had runways for testing aircrafts before returning them to RCAF flight schools.
